Our full-service team of residential development solicitors provides strategic legal advice across a full spectrum of residential asset classes with nearly 100 experienced lawyers specialising in areas such as construction, planning, tax, property litigation and commercial and corporate matters.

Any residential scheme you pursue requires legal advisors at every stage of the project to work closely with you to help deliver commercial success, whether it's acquiring land or securing planning permission, appointing contractors, selling units or managing disputes.

Our housing and residential development team has the experience and understanding of the challenges and obstacles you might face, having acted for some of the most innovative and successful national house builders and developers and forward-thinking real estate investors. And for those investors and contractors whose core business isn't real estate, our knowledge means we can provide you with the guidance and insight you need to navigate this multifaceted sector.

We can advise on all aspects of housebuilding and affordable housing development work, from large-scale consortiums to public / private partnerships. We have a particular strength in managing high value property transactions and selling individual residential units, and act for eight of the top-ten national house builders.

We process around 5,000 plot sales per year for our housebuilding clients, either supporting their in-house teams during busy periods or managing the entire process on their behalf.

We also provide a fully rounded service for high net worth individuals focusing on due diligence and the protection and value of the asset. Much of our work for overseas investors is the acquisition of prime residential property in London.
