Larissa Parker

Larissa Parker is an environmental and climate change lawyer in Gowling WLG's Toronto office working at the intersections of administrative law, constitutional law, municipal law and Indigenous law.

Larissa has demonstrated expertise navigating the intricacies of judicial review applications, as well as the complexities associated with different standards of review. She routinely works on complex environmental litigation and regulatory matters, covering a broad range of questions, including in environmental assessment, climate change, land use planning, energy regulation, Canadian federalism and Indigenous land and resource rights. Larissa is also published in the fields of climate litigation, environmental Charter rights, international environmental governance and environmental class actions. She is frequently invited to speak about and write on these topics in Canada and abroad.

Larissa graduated from the McGill Faculty of Law in 2021, where she won awards for academic achievement, legal writing and leadership. While at McGill, she worked for several law professors and was actively involved in public interest projects.

Before attending law school, Larissa completed a Master’s of Science at the University of Oxford, where she focused her research on international climate governance, climate change adaptation, loss and damage and resilience strategies for Indigenous communities and municipalities. Larissa also holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto, where she double majored in 'Ethics, Society, and Law' and 'Environmental Studies'.

Prior to joining Gowling WLG as an associate, Larissa is very proud to have clerked for Justice Gleason at the Federal Court of Appeal and Chief Justice Crampton at the Federal Court. She will clerk for the Supreme Court in 2025.
